Spilled Wine in Paris

Hello! I am doing my best to keep up with my posts. I have over a dozen in my writing book but have found no time to post as the internet has been in and out for me as we travel. I wrote this one when I saw a group reacting to a fallen glass of wine in a beautiful restaurant in Paris. I surely love this town and am writing about all of my first experiences in the city. I have much to learn – but am enjoying every moment! Bonne Journee!

The table draws tense

My movements should not have been in haste

The fine wine with lingering taste

Now dismantled on the table

Dripping off the sides and too the floor

Falling dripping cascading

My eyes depart from the wine

Hoping to wipe pull it back

The waiter asks me for help

All is not lost

He will brings a small stack

Of towels to help with the problem

My movements are robotic and slow

Feeling the weight of the faux pa

On my soul

I have learned I must move with great ease

Art in motion

More subtle please

What more could I have learned from this

A fallen glass of wine

In Paris
