Under the shade of the cedar tree

Growing grass light

In the summertime

As the sun gets caught in the leaves

That cast the shadow

Where I sit

Feeling the heat of the day

But the cool of the trees protection

From the world at large

My mind rests

Beneath the Cedar’s Shade
