Strawberry Hill

A sweet Strawberry Hill

When we grew up

Didn’t know much

But what we knew

Helped us as we grew

Brothers together

Brothers alone

Getting older

And only talking on the phone

I remember Strawberry Hill

In a simpler time

Easy place

Growing up

Now we feel so straight lace

When we were kids

We never thought today would come

But underneath this Lake Michigan sun

There is nowhere left to run

But together

Brothers

As one

  1. Strawberry Hills sounds like a paradise of childhood memories. This made me remember distant events in my life in the past. Very well written poem.
