Don’t wait
If that is not
Your way
Of doing this life
In these moments
Don’t wait
If that is not
Your way
Of doing this life
In these moments
Breaking the new
Is a way of
Taking back what is now
Old
And creating something
Right now
Or
Real soon
The late nights
Nighters
Start when the sun
Is just about to begin
Is daily rotation
I am one in that nation
Of eyes
Looking at the sky
Just before dawn
Wake up
And I’ll take up
A new type of
Analytical
Process
To the days ahead
The times have run
Off the course
Of the normal
Bouts of information
Now stationed
At a place
That is unrealistic
And false
Today’s blue
Is light and airy
In the sky filled with
Sunshine and light dust
The sky must
Be the honor and hope
Of the day
Ahead
So instead of the
Regular grind
I look to the sky
Today to see
The blue
It’s never quite that easy
Identity
Ideally
Realization
It’s a complicated thing
We have to understand
That the layers of a person
Are the layers
That we learn about
Hand in hand
Time’s up for the night
So be alright
With what was accomplished
And what was left
For tomorrow
Remember the night
Where we almost died
It was a treacherous evening
That became more bizarre
As the night went on
The cops showed up to ask questions
But we were just visiting the
Pad
We knew so little
And wanted to leave so bad
That parking lot sweeper
Was kicking up all of the dust
On a late night in Phoenix
As the sun had recently set back
The truck made it’s pass
To swallow the dust from the day
Away
From the parking lot
And start a new
Another day
