Another round
Started the conversation
From the guess I was making
It didn’t take long
Until the whole thing
Came undone
And lay at my feet
Lost to my own
Fatalistic repeat
Another round
Started the conversation
From the guess I was making
It didn’t take long
Until the whole thing
Came undone
And lay at my feet
Lost to my own
Fatalistic repeat
Both lights went out
In the middle of the night
When the hook
Came undone
Hold up my hopes
On tenterhooks
This evening
Bent on a better world
Bent on today
Making amends for tomorrow
That is how progress
Begins
I borrowed the words
On this page
From many pages before my own
All these words
Have been written before
But I still honor the space
That will be
My own
The billow
Lifted my eyes
To the skies
Of teal and crimson
Over the mountains
It was misting
All I could help myself
Was washing
That this could be
Forever
Here and now
The shadows
Cast languid
On the dark pavement
Warm orange lights
Gleam hazy
On the speckled sky
Time for the evening walk
Tonight
At the time of this writitn
There are clouds
Up in the mountaisn
Rain in the air
To whole this may concern
To whom they may care
So I approach
A late spring morning
With a renewed sense of direction
Upon the mountians
My eyes lay
In connection
Today’s whimper
Had me at the gate
From the launch
I have stayed
Out of the way
Of the moving pieces
That set me a stray
The big faint
Starts with a deep breathe
And all that you let go
Becomes blurry lines
Blurrier than the ones you know
Spiritually roasted
While my bread
Hasn’t even been toasted
So I think of the times
When I had a clearer
Mind
And hope that someday
Soon I can return
To the spiritual room
