Shark Bloom

The looming shark

Dwarfed my own

Light

As I stood

In the dark

Of unknown

What is bigger than me

As I stay in my lane

But I know

That the truth

Would be much

Easier

Than the shark bloom

Who Am I

Who am I

If none other

Then the amalgamation

Of experiences

So how can I

Contradict

My views

Through the life

I live

I see different

Than what I want to see

And for that I have to agree

With reality

Blessed

Blessed are those who

Run into the fears

Of others

To save the hope

That I saw that day

Unknown waters

In the open road

Cast a shadow of doubt

I am told

But to save a life

In the deepest moment of

Need

That was the blessed human

I could see

The Rains Fell

The night on watch

The eye of the hurricane

Moves over the Florida panhandle

Up to Western Carolina

Can we handle

A night of sleep

In the morning the jet

Engine rocks the shades

As the engine of water

Pours in spades

The eye of Helene upon us

Searing blasts over the land of mud and clay

The rain fell

All over that day

I pray for those

Who’s lives have been destroyed

The feeling of being trapped

In the wake of the waters bleeding edge

I made it out that day

And felt remorse to do more

For the night before

I never ever could have seen

What was torn up

By Helene
