A Texas Town

A Texas town

Known for many

But very few have returned

To the place

That towers

Over the cars

That roll through

Until the spirit of the State

Is one mantra

Said to the sky

In the middle of the night

This Texas town is quiet

And doing alright

Grey L.A.

The water falls

From the roofs

Easy as it can roll

Into the streets

And streaming down

The avenues

Into the collections

And sewer openings

Where it rolls into larger

Homes

Away from the streets

Of a busy

L.A.

Begging

The most difficult

Moments

To go through

And grow through

Is when there is not enough

And the real ask begins

Sometimes a hope

But we learned in the

Beginning

That we would be begging

For another chance

To change the way

We see the future

Not every time

But sometimes

It would all

Come true
