A cup of coffee
Starts the day
With what these words can say
In a mess of a world
I look for the right words
To do right
Upon the land around us
For it is up to us
To resolve

All around

In the ears of those
Who can hear
The words that were said
A word that has an expanse
Such as that can really last
The Mothership
Has arrived

Comes with the New Year
A giddy attempt
At risk
Or something near there
Taking on more than
Should be taken
And handing it down
To those below
And around
A giddy risk is the simple

To a complicated year

Of awareness
That withers
Away into nothing
Of significance
And that is where my
Concerns lie

Of anything
Just put the hand
To paper

Unintended Incosequence

Yet reliably
Irritable
The conjuction
Of weird
And desireable
Is a fantasty
That we tell ourselves
To calm the fears
Of what is to come
Yet somehow
The unintended is what
Actually plays

If words were easy
I would write more
Than I can fit on this page
I would write
Until I was blue in the face
But today
I celebrate words
Of all types and forms
So celebrate with me today
The words that connect us
All the time
A Move to Homogenize
Here comes the flatteners
The staple guns
And the irons
To roll out the foils
Pull back the stiches
And roll out the differences
In a moment
We hope to grow
But it seems
That the power from above
Only grows and goes
Beyond
So we prepare
To homogenize
Into one

Yesterday
Seems grand
In it’s far off memory
It cant be like today
When all there is to say
Is that I am worried
About what is to come
And how the future may be bright
But could be easily
Undone
