Another Day

Another day

Another poem

Today I wonder what has held me back in life

The fear of something that does not exist

The fear of falling somewhere I can not

I can no longer have these fears control my heart

I must control me

That is truly what must be

For me to grow and develop

Into what can be

What should be

Rather than what can not

I must forget the past

Create a new future

Not controlled by fears or constraints

For what I believed became my reality

This real world defined me

It is time for a sea change

The salty breeze on the shoulder of the new me

This is where I will now live

Free from fear and darkness

Full of life and adventure

That is the real me

Rooftop Friday

Rooftop Friday nights
Pressed linens and evening skylights
Skyline fading in the backdrop
Of this terrace rooftop
Music plays gentle melodies
Clouds block out burning light
My guitar sits waiting for a new tune
Played well into the evening night
Breeze passes on my left cheek
Sunlight wrapping around flowers and pillars alike
Chairs waiting for the party to begin
Breaking out and summers in
Flowers push up from soil life giving
Trees fall soft on distant ground
Giving life to the view from above
Green and golden a generous view
A tower and a dome rest to the north
Towering over trees confident exuberant
Bricks filled solid and firm
Prepared for years of life
Holding the structure to the ground
On a Friday night on a rooftop
Eyes see what I have not seen
In a way I have never seen
As the night wanes on
Fall asleep until that morning dawn

One T Shirt

I want to wear a t shirt all day
Where the sun shines through the cold gray
Where life is easy in summers pass
Hanging out chilling on your ass
There is something to that life
More than it seems
A true call from your dreams
I want to wear a t shirt to work
As just a small job perk
Away from suits and ties
Those are for the weary eyes
I think of how I can make it through
Just a simple thought will do
I need no complexities like buttons
Those are over done
All I need is one
T shirt
That will do

A Poem on a Poem

This was some late night scribbles. I am not quite sure if I translated some of the scribbles correctly – had they been different maybe this would be more clear and concise, hard to say. Interesting none the less.

A Poem on a Poem

If you heard a poem

Would you know them

If grass was green

Could the jester be seen

Where the bird flies

The bee dies

And thinks to tie

The world anew

For you and for me

This is the where

The world will be

Between thoughts

And dreams

And with the living things

Of all

Seen and unseen

Sitting right here

For you and me

But why today if tomorrow is

Warranted for the future

Beginning and ending

The world is different now

Hat is was yesterday

And will not know itself

Tomorrow
