Hollow creature
With withering resolve
Not one small problem
Could even be solved
Hope destitute of idols
Making the roll calls
Calling the white walls
Falling def tone and folly
No great man
Comes from a raisin trolley
Trolls under bridges
Not building bridges
Just looking for ditches
A still early spring night
79 and feeling fine
Summer in a moment
These moment when the doors crack open
After long winter nights
We all feel alive
Alive with hope of spring
Spring into the new year
Spring is on my mind
Friday’s news
Blues from old walking shoes
Misunderstandings
While punches keep landing
I have checked hope
Of a linear progression
News of the day
An absolute obsession
Our rendition is kept in tact
I don’t have to worry today
While others are falling apart no intact
Connecting with views
Objecting news
Seeeing each other through
That is what we do
That is America
To me and you
When times are hard we rise
When times are tough we pull through
That is just what we do
At what point do you stop counting
Is it when you feel like your drowning
In age
In wisdom
At what point is it just happen
Without even a notice
Grown
The ones before have showed us
Concurrently
Partially
Ergonomically
We age
We grow
We get old
But when do I stop counting
Birthday in advance
How is it I am 31
The great dance of life
Is well into the 2nd act
The life of a full impact
31 and not a day more
That is what the birthdays tell me
From New York City to Austin to Tennessee
Out on the road on my birthday
Getting old
So the story goes
From primitive morning
To a sleepy night rose
Off to bed
Off to wonder
Seeing what lies
While the heart grows fonder
Of people
Over things
No hands can grasp
When sleep prevails
No hands cling
So off to rest
Off to sleep
In the morning
Fresh coffee will steep
The news crew are out
Distrusted and disdained
They once again are trying
To pull their weight
If not in content
At least in action
The numbers posted
Gallop said
Were not quite to
“Our Satisfaction”
So they will recruit stories in the morning
Chase them into the night
The news crews are at it again
And they think they will be alright
Facts
Fact
The fact
Agreed upon
Facts
Non disputed facts
Exist between the boundaries
Of lies and illusions
It’s an inconvenient 4 letters
That we must rely on
In difficult times
The true impact
Of Facts
Face facts
Fact
What we do right
What we do wrong
What we screw up
And what we can approve on
That is where I focus
My days on
