September sun
Brings out the heat
In the early parts
Of autumn
So thick
You can see the humid
Air
Linger over the fields
Ready for the change
Of season
The hope of summer
Fading quickly
As the fall is now
Upon us
September sun
Brings out the heat
In the early parts
Of autumn
So thick
You can see the humid
Air
Linger over the fields
Ready for the change
Of season
The hope of summer
Fading quickly
As the fall is now
Upon us
What we use
And what we throw away
Piles up in the oceans
Out of sight
Of our hands and minds
But trash does not
Go away
Living well beyond the life
It had on the shelf
So be thoughtful of life
As we make our way
Through the web
Of air and water
Right here on earth
Elite and high above
The clouds
There is a group of
People living
In spiral staircase
Dreams
Of life as it seems
So as to not touch
The ground
With any part of life
Up rather
In the clouds
But be proud of your feet
As they connect to what
Connects us all
The ground
my hopes
are tinted
on an old car
dashboard
wasted from the
summer light
harsh on the dash
so I gather a more
tinted approach
to the life
that I live
ill be blithe today
with a cheerful
grin
towards the sky
above
me
so as to see the light
shower down
new
with a vision
of hope
today
and true
I have adopted the flippant
Approach
To the news
Of what matters little
In my sphere of control
So I take a new light
Into the darkest night
When all is lost
I laugh
To just to be alive
Is my only thought
Lay down the law
Heavy as a lead balloon
Over the lives
Of the many
Not the few
The draconian rule
Come from those who
Have the most to loose
So heed the warnings
Of a way of life
Unusual
To you
The waves
Crashed
And ripped
In a sparkling
Deep blue
Over the waters
Of the old
And the new
So I take the hope of
Water
Into the day
To make one more light
When darkness reigns
The highway runs
Up into the sun
As it blurs out
You see what has been undone
As traffic jams
Await a new universe
Of holding hope
For the next green light
As we set our course
For the journey
To the
Highway in the sky
Roots grow up to the sky
Backwards
Towards the sun
Way off in the side
To the trees of the universe
Holding the hopes of
The night
So be fragile in spirit
And embrace the unknown
Of a world upside down
From what
We have known
