Other plans
Stand to challenge
The path of this days
Directions
With a loud
Interjection
Other plans
Stand to challenge
The path of this days
Directions
With a loud
Interjection
Suspend the sofa
And walk the yard
Protect the water
And heal the scars
The bored groan
Emerges
From my soul
As the time lags on
Into what seemed close
Now just distant hopes
Of improving my life and circumstance
Maybe today
The hope is to breathe
And dance
Can these words rise
Up to the days that
Lie in the future
Around the corner
And flat on the pavement
Where the people walk
And talk
The poetry
Or words
Combines
To make meaning
Significant maybe
But timely
Indeed
Feeble toes
In mystic shoes
That make my feet
Float on the sidewalk
That carries me away
Husky snow
Falls like
Cotton mallets
Upon the night sky
After the rain
And before the light
A wiggly claim
Came through the speakers
Of the television
Last night
I was unaffected
I did not give away my light
I waded on into the evening
Without my breath seething
No wiggly claim
Can undo my peace of mind
Upon weight and time
To wait for a new time
I sit patiently
Waiting
For this to come
I’ll call for a pocket share
To hold my belongings
For the moment
I am gone
In my thougths
But still in the room
I will be back
No now
But soon
Second hand substance
Is what he took
Back then
When he was older
But younger too
He had not an idea
Or a clue
Of what the substance could do
But he took it
And complied with the rules
He walked in the herd
Like a mule
