Second Hand Substance
Second hand substance
Is what he took
Back then
When he was older
But younger too
He had not an idea
Or a clue
Of what the substance could do
But he took it
And complied with the rules
He walked in the herd
Like a mule
Ups and Downs
Up and down
All around
A year of intention
Setting
Rather than leaving ground
With one foot up
And one firmly planted
So that this year was more of a
Transplanted focus
Rather than straight through
I guess we’ll try again next year
Me and you
Unwound
Wound up to tight
Takes place
At the worst moment
At the worst sight
But when the time comes
To bring it back
The ropes have to be unwound
So that they don’t snap
So it starts with a twist
In the opposite direction
From the current tension
So that the line
Can start to relax

In todays world

Starts with a massive intrusion
Into the normal ways of thinking

Normally won’t be the change
That this idea has made
It will come at the worst moment
Or the best in reflection
What comes from a new way of thinking
