Not everything is a 10
Out of 10
Not everything do I care
To attend
Or understand
Sometimes
A blithe time
Is what is needed
For peace of mind
In this time
Just swimming and
Enjoying
Life
Not everything is a 10
Out of 10
Not everything do I care
To attend
Or understand
Sometimes
A blithe time
Is what is needed
For peace of mind
In this time
Just swimming and
Enjoying
Life
A gut check
Comes at the strangest times
To be
So sublime
And then again
To think of what could be
From one to
Ten
The summer comes to an end
Again
As the spring flowers
Wilt into the fall
Leaves
I see
A change in the year
This year
Ahead of me
From the rough
Of the grass
Long and blowing
In the late summer wind
The fall
Is upon us
With its linear sunlight
And orange hues
Touching the changes
And nothing you can do
So the early fall
Sets like the Heather days
As the summer fades
Away
The time whisked away
Yet another day
A way to say
That opportunities
Come and go
With no way of knowing
That the time
Is an hour away
So in these moments
Of solitude and hope
I return to the idea
That there is still
One hour
The orange
Is stronger than blue
In the afternoon sun
That came through
I see in my eyes
The fading sun line
Of a falling shadow
Deep on the grass
From the ankles to the glass
In my hand
The afternoon sun
Had come
General apathy
Struck
Me
On the way to the
Place
For my memories
And building face
I was unable to speak
Of the emotions that
Took my mind
Off the type of focus
And let the apathy
Set in
Alone and
Out of focus
When it rains
Tell me the season
When it rains
Tell me the reason
For the quiet
In between
That happen
Between you and me
But rain on me
The water from the sky
So that I may know I am alive
And nourish the ground
Where others lie
Who have gone before
In the night
The waiting stopped
A while back
For the moment
It seemed alright
When the summer
Set in
To go half in on
What seems so plain
So the water flows
And the wind blows
So I begin again
Everyday I go
Blue water
Hues
On the late summer time
When it’s green
Until the water edge
Making a city
Near Manistee
Glow
Green and
Blue
