All the day long
Waiting for my favorite song
Small mysteries
Even seem joyful
At a slow summer pace
Preparing the way
For what’s to come
All the day long
Waiting for my favorite song
Small mysteries
Even seem joyful
At a slow summer pace
Preparing the way
For what’s to come
These blundered words
Have no further meaning
Beyond the stated
Amount
Given here
Incandescent observation
Is not as luminous
As I had hoped
Or illustrated
That somehow
We rise together
And fall apart
We all can play a part
In this
Path forward
Escapism
The act of escaping
Repeatedly
For health
And safety
Away from monotony
Of slow progress
Made
Away
For another day
Never knew the divisions
That grew
So quickly
Between me and you
Repeated visions
Of separation
A stunning sensation
As we take our macabre dance
Entranced
In this moment
For now
Until the final note
The last vowel
I wish
There was an only truth
Not many versions
Of interpretation
That leaves us with nothing more
Than a divided nation
Just some wanton hope
I guess
Have we enough
Of the darkness
That lingers
A little too long
Can we politely
Move on
To a better version
Of ourselves
Upward
Onward
A way to hope
We can make a better
Future
Than the one we know
This pencil
Is filled with hope
Words I have written
And those I don’t know
But every stroke is a chance
To give a hopeful glance
To the sheet below
Musing late night
Winded
But not done
Giving it a full effort
Until the morning sun
