Pride

Pride for the day

For the rising sun

For the country we live in

Pride in a new way

Seeing through the clouds

Of grey

Pride for the night that

Brings us rest

Pride in the hope

That tomorrow

Will bring us better

Friendliness

The pride of the future

Lies in you and me

Hold Me Up

Hold me up

With the sharpest of knives

So that success is not

A working right

But rather a gift

Given by those in charge

Who control who makes it

And who is broken and

Destroyed

With these knives they

Pay each other 10 million dollars

An appearance

While most can not pay the rent

And yet we worship these fools

Complete and utter fools

Running away with the keys

To our lives

Setbacks

One moment away

Can be eternity

If the pieces fall

In the divide of time

Where even a minute is

Too late

To take the setback

Is to be bold and weary

Upon the arrival

Of another day

Flippant

I have adopted the flippant

Approach

To the news

Of what matters little

In my sphere of control

So I take a new light

Into the darkest night

When all is lost

I laugh

To just to be alive

Is my only thought

Kindly Political

When was the last

Cordial

Political

Movement

Of virtue over

Destruction

Is that posible

In today’s world

With hard words the norm

What can we do

To be kind to

Each

Other

Simple Times

Were there ever simple times?

A time when everything was smooth

As the morning dew

Rather I object

That time neither existed

In romance or

Realism but

Was a fragment

Of imagination

Lodged in the hopeful

For today is the day

Of hope for me

Regardless of the fate I see

We start in with

Today

The Glove

If the glove fits

But what if it’s not your glove

But found from someone

Else’s mishaps of the day

Rather return the glove

For in time the glove of mankind

Will wrap you with goodness

And that will be

Your place to see

When all is right

It can set you free

Back to Back

Facing the opposite direction

We do not see each other

Our struggles are the

Same

Our voices ring together

But blindly we walk away

As to not help each other

For we can’t help what we can’t see

If only

We could turn around

And see

Other standing right

Next to us
