The blue of the winter time
Has rest its head on the
Weary earth
Blooming the snow and wind
That covers the ground
From head to toe
From the season of fall
Bursts the icicle season
Falling in the snow piles
On the ground below
Waiting for the sun to glow
Over the shimmer of fresh
Fallen
Snow
The quintessential
Excuse
To avoid the words
That could resound
In the nature of the ear
Make sense of the confusion
The highest of honors
Takes the back seat
These days
For other types of
Pursuits
Both silly and unusual
So I hold hope
For a solid
Return
Over time
Refined
From the sand in the
Glass
Falling through
To the other side
Try to define
The sagacious
Mind
Over the years
As wisdom imparts
It’s vital words
Upon the mind
With the greatest of proclamations
The ineffable joy
That is felt from the purest of loves
Born on the earth
From one human heart to the next
I exalt this freedom
From the lowest valley
On the deepest dark day
I have hope for more
To be birthed
With true life
In the face of snow
Winter bearing down
The forest thrives
In the winter ice
Giving life
Well under the ground
In a moment of doubt
I take heed from the trees
That have no leaves
In the depth of
Winter
Ebullient
The times of the year
When Thanksgiving
Rolls around
Over the fallen leaves
And the fall sun
The days of life
That are lived
To just be happy
To just be
The labyrinthine of
Mind
Time
And
Time
Again
The complications of human life
Lived through days
On this earth
Woven in the fabric of
Experiences
One can only try to understand
So we exist
Not knowing all
But learning to know
Each other
The divides
Magnified
By lies
But when the truth
Is spoken
In a hushed town
The sails are left
Empty
For the truth
Does not need to hide
The lies
Have to avoid the
Exposure
To our eyes
The fleeting sand
Moving through the timepiece of life
Life is simply
Ephemeral
Taking the time that I have
And using it
With a certain fire to stoke
As the world spins
Around
I find the hope
Of a fleeting glance
Is it a pre ordained sequence
Or a type of chemistry
That plays out
When the light
Hits a certain
Curb
In my eyes
That I remember a previous time
The serendipity
In that connection I feel
