The Old Night

The old night lets go

Moving forwards

Growing old

While the fall winds

Begin to blow

In a storm from the west

Summer being laid to rest

I take a moment and remember

As the eyes of December

Begin to focus on us

The old night lets go

I to can’t hold on to the past

I must move forward

Into the unknown

To grow

To go

Remembering The Ones

In a world where we gather

Come together

Yet we come in alone

We grow old

We make new friends

And say goodbye to others

Our hearts learn to love

Let go

We hold each other close

For in the end

We all know

We must go it alone

Waiting Game

Waiting

Whats worth waiting

Idealism

Perfectionism

Procrastination

How can you win the waiting game

The hope for another day

Push away

What needs to be done now

Instead, opt to bow out

Fall away

While others lead the way

My friends who wait

Never seem to make it

Never seem to get ahead

They are just going to wait

Maybe until they are dead

Tuesday News

The Tuesday news

Brought up a day late

With slanted views

People acting funny

Few words

With lots of money

The Tuesday news will roll in late

While the businessmen play

The Tuesday news will be read

In the Subway

Sunday Runaround

All but the vital

Coming over me

A wave

A fresh tidal

How life goes

Easy on Sunday

Holding hope for the

Week ahead

Leaving behind

The week ago

See where this one will take me

Where I will go

Comes The Breaks

Silence in reflection

Questions

Brought

Through reflection

Resurrection

When progress is made

I might have to step

Away

Hope my hands can

Continue to write

When inspiration

Leaves my side

The morning will be alright

When the sun sleeps

At night

Continue on

Persevere

We must

We have to
