Keep the Car Running

Keep the car running

The faucet draining

Keep on keeping on with

What I have been wasting

In moments of reflection

Why do I put up these guards of

Protection

When I am the problem

And the solution

All in one small mind

Or large conclusion

Examine Every Nerve

I examine every nerve I have

Looking for the damage caused

A defective course of action

Creating inaction

The bustling buzz of cars

Underneath my feet

Standing on bridges above the city

Elite

My back arches as I inhale the wind

I am the chief of my soul

In complete control

My feet brace for a jump

As my legs can barely release up

The colorful whirl of lights

And distant boats

East river floats

I launch out into the night

Latched Upon Sunlight

Some days are just short writings. Time seems to fly by and I can not grab enough of it to sit down and do my daily writings. This week I am trying to get 2 writings done per day as next week I will be on the road the entire time. So here is a shot little piece – it is starting to warm up in the Midwest – finally. Enjoy.

Winter wears thin

Latched upon sunlight

A little more feels alright

Wait for more to come
