The Rally Cry of the Tired

The rally cry of the tired

A worthy cause flamed out with vigor

Passing floating rolling

I have tried

To do good

Good to be undone

So much has to rely on a rally cry

When your tired

And lonely

Not alone

You feel sad

Disconnected from the world

How did it work out not the way it was

All planned

A plane in flight unmanned

The plane now is in the final descent

It will land

How

Unknown

But through all of this

I

We

Have grown

Grown up

So here we come

4 Minutes

In 4 minutes I will attempt

To write words

Strung together with

Some meaning

My eyes are stuck to the screen

Gleaming

Written in an attempt to say

What I have postponed along the way

Returning to ritual

Feels good

Yet not unusual

11:57

11:57 The clock reads

Momentary and sedentary

I return to the road

We travel so often

Yet so unfamiliar

Unusual

The hope of unity

A collection of ideas

Almost perfect

But perfect in its imperfections

It has beauty despite moments

Of Lack of direction

Proceed on our journey

To find people

To share moments and peace

This is my idea to bring

Back at the Cafe

Back at the Cafe

On the strained Route 94

Deep in North Dakota

Where the wind finds fields

Of exapanse and rips through

Rain pours over cargo trains

Bustling through the rich spring air

We stop for caffeine as we make our way

Due west

The ultimate test

Journey new

Undone

Headed right through

The storm

The coffee soothes the moment and lifts

The eyes

Now a brain soaked in caffeine

We continue

Parking Lots

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

3 AM Parking lots

Not a lot to it

Cold lights bear over black stained stones

Moving slow after 8 hour rolls

We have a way of making it OK

Me and my love

On the road

On the road

On the road

Cantankerous and Noisy

I know a ritzy town

Where the houses are big

Rigged with luxuries

The proposition tugs at me

But maybe I will head to Detroit

I am an artist

Hipster guess stereotyped

I find it rather terrific

To be cantankerous and noisy

Rather than sterilized to the squeak

That my shoes should rub on the floors

The thought of luxury affords me

Relinquishing in the laugh of heart

Maybe I will a piece of Detroit my own part

A small tin house on a hill

A fixer upper at will

Willingly I will go to the rust belt it seems

Although it may be perceived as synonymous

With crazy

At least I will try

Try it out in

Detroit

Unequivocal Ambivalence

Unequivocal ambivalence

Or certain uncertainty

Whirling around me

Circling my own mind

Quick letters strewn together

An unsettling fotrune teller

The only news I want to read

Will fill me with uncertainty

Instill constantly

The path in front of me

But life is anything but detail

I am as much a creator

As I am a reactor

All the elements

Life throws at me

I can surely not factor

2 to the power of 1

A 2 fold sum

Of the dim lit moon

And a paved path to the sun

Fundamentally: You and Me

The sense of unity

A deep spring within you and me

Is fundamentally

An idea which

We should all agree

Ideally

However when a evil tragedy

Strikes the innocents

Lacking any true humanity

What are we left with

Other than a hollowed out hope

A useless and frayed rope

I have a belief

That there is more to unite

Than to tear apart

We as humans all share a common heart

Not emotionally

Purely physically

We are born with brains and toes

We all face our challenges of growing old

Not all is lost in humanity

I just saw someone yesterday

Help a lost fellow on the street

Maybe a hope of full unity may fall away

The hands of each other

We somehow share a sense of commonplace

Deep within the human race

On a Monday it seems burned out

Washed up and worn out

The hope runs like a well deep underground

Running full but without a sound

I share this hope

That is the simple humanity of each other

That we are truly bound

De-Complicate Me Please

Complicated questions

On complicated days

Complicated thoughts

On complicated days

De-complicate me please

Set my uneasy thoughts at ease

Soon I will smell an autumn

New York City breeze

McCarren Park through the trees

De-complicate my fall

In the city

So I can enjoy the beauty

Of the pretty city
